@jonkulp Have you checked the back of your garage? I think goodwill is using it like a FIFO stack and just selling you your stuff back! :P

@theru don't know yet. It only has 40GB hard drive. If I put SN on it, it'll probably be the only web app I put on it.

@jonkulp bwahahaha, this is hilarious, I was running my instance on an AlphaStation with 10GB of storage for months.

@kevingranade yeah, but my SN server also hosts my Piwigo instance, servers up about 80G…

My VPS only has ~16GB total - I'd say you could manage it. :D

@kevingranade ...and in typical Mac fashion it only has 2 usb ports and a firewire port. I do have firewire enclosure though...

@windigo probably, but I hesitate to move SN to different server. If I have 3 servers the port forwarding will get crazy.

@jonkulp I have one server I use for fileserving, so I just cram all the big drives in that one and serve it to everything else with smb.

@kevingranade I may start planning a setup like that now that I have this thing.

We should all pitch in and build a datacenter, using each other's servers as backups.

@windigo This has crossed my mind a few times, dwolla did something similar, not sure if there's a FOSS solution.
