Been drinking iced tea because of the heat. I think I might make a pot off coffee today. First time in a week.

You could put that on ice as well if the heat's getting to you... mmm, now I want iced coffee.

Yes, I do like iced coffee. Probably generates just as much heat making tea as coffee I guess.

@gomerx depends on how you do it, but I think they're typically similar.

@gomerx @windigo Cold brew doesn't, but it takes time (hours for steeping).

@gomerx I guess, don't really want to boil the water for either.

I guess I'm imptient, and prefer boiling. Sun tea is good, but I'm too lazy and don't have a big glass jar anymore.

@gomerx I used to cold brew green tea at work in a 1L Nalgene, but now I brew double strength at normal temp and ice it.

@tekk do you mean you prefer cold brewing, or that you don't want it to make it to a full boil when steeping it hot?

@gomerx I meant for coffee. ;) I use the same french press and make a concentrated version. Then I drink the concentrated, so not a win?

@gomerx no, I mean if you boil it it'll get more bitter, better to just have it very hot

@kevingranade played with cold brewing a bit, I prefer near-boiling

That's true for coffee. For black tea the water is supposed to be boiling. For less bitter, steep it less time.

@gomerx right. don't drink black tea so often so I forget about that :)
